Update on Eben Pagan’s Guru Product Blueprints (May 29, 2013):

Eben Pagan is no longer offering Guru Product Blueprints as a stand-alone product.  His Guru Product Blueprints course is now part of “Platinum Passport” — which is a comprehensive business training library that includes all of Eben Pagan’s previously released business training programs.

In addition to Guru Product Blueprints, some of the training programs included in Platinum Passport are Guru MasterClass, Wake Up Productive, Print Persuasion MasterClass, Marketing Step By Step, The Guru Mastermind along with Eben Pagan’s $10,000 Altitude program.

Many of the products in Platinum Passport had an original price point between $2,000 and $30,000, and the total value of the training inside Platinum Passport is a real $100,000.

In the future Eben plans to sell Platinum Passport for approximately $10,000.   But right now you can get access to this incredible business training library as a “BONUS” when you join Eben Pagan’s Accelerate.

Accelerate is high growth business training program that is designed to teach you the most effective methods for shifting your business into high growth mode.  It is high-level business training that is designed for professional entrepreneurs who are serious business builders.

The above link will take you to a post I made on Web Business Research that will give you a detailed review of what is in the Accelerate High Growth Business Training Program.  But you must act fast if you want to take advantage of Eben’s terrific offer.  Early registration for Accelerate ends at midnight on Thursday, May 30, 2013 — and so does the 50% off “Early Registration Special.”  If you join before midnight on May 30th you can get access to Accelerate and the Platinum Passport bonus for just $4997.  On May 31 the special pricing is over and the price will move to $9997.

Eben Pagan and Andy Jenkins Discuss Marketing, Business and the Launch of Guru Product Blueprints.

Andy Jenkins recently interviewed Eben Pagan about the launch of Guru Products Blueprints — Eben’s new coaching program where he will teach his students how to take their knowledge, package it and sell it online.   This post is a compilation of the notes I took from the Eben Pagan and Andy Jenkins interview.

Eben and Andy are two of the most talented internet marketers I know of.  And when these two guys get together the conversation is always educational, and those in attendance leave the interview with new knowledge they did not have before.

This interview did not disappoint.  Eben and Andy went deep into some really good stuff with much of it relating to Eben’s new coaching program, Guru Product Blueprints.  They discussed everything to “Marketing Psychology” to “Product Creation” to “Customer Acquisition.”

Here is a list of items from the interview that I found of interest.

  • Eben stated that his information publishing business started in a one bedroom apartment more than 11 years ago.  He locked himself in his apartment for 3 weeks and wrote a book on dating advice.  He said the book did alright the first year, but nothing great.  The following year he put on a live event, recorded it, and then sold the recordings as a high-end product.  The business took off.  He has since sold more than $60 million worth of products in the “Dating & Relationship” market.  This incredible success that Eben has created would have never happened if he did not lock himself in his apartment for 3 weeks and write that book.  Almost all successful businesses start from very humble beginnings.  Eben Pagan’s success story is no exception.
  • Eben stated that in order to successfully create and sell information products, you have to figure out what is triggering your customers emotional hot buttons.  People buy on emotion and then they use logic to justify their purchase.  Eben gave the example of someone wanting to lose weight.  If you are a marketer selling to this market you have to figure out “why” your customer wants to lose weight.  Did his doctor tell him that he has to lose weight or he will die?  Or, is your customer suddenly single and he or she wants to lose weight to become more attractive in the eyes of others?

As a marketer you have to figure out the “Why” and then tailor your message to that hot button.  That is precisely what Eben Pagan teaches in Guru Product Blueprints — how to identify your prospects “hot buttons” and then how to tailor your message to those emotional triggers.

  • In the past Eben would tell people to stay in the “Big Three” markets:  Wealth (Money), Health & Fitness, and Dating & Relationships (Love).  Eben loves these three markets because they are enormous and because it is so easy to tap into the hot buttons of people in these markets.  However, Eben has changed his tune a bit because a lot of people who have gone through his coaching programs are succeeding in markets not related to these three.  For example, Andy Jenkins stated that Jeff Walker has a student who is selling a high-end info product in the Horse Ballet market.  Interesting.
  • Later in the interview Eben again talked about the importance of finding your customer’s biggest “wants” and “worries” (i.e. their hot buttons).  He mentioned that one of the best ways to do this is to simply ask them.  Eben provided a great example.  He was about to begin his $12,000 a  year Altitude coaching program when he sent a survey to his 700+ students asking them for their biggest worries and frustrations.  The number one response was “time management.”  Eben proceeded to create his Wake Up Productive time management course and he gave it to his Altitude students.  And they loved it.  Soon thereafter Eben began selling Wake Up Productive and it has since generated more than $1 million in revenue.

This million dollar success story happened because of one primary reason:  Eben took the initiative to ask his students about their worries and frustrations.  He then delivered a product that addressed their specific concerns.

  • Andy believes that marketing is all about “positioning.”  He stated:  “It all boils down to how you position your offer for your product to your market.”
  • Eben said that he learned a valuable lesson from Jay Abraham on how to acquire customers and generate leads (i.e list build).  Eben said that you need to ask this question:  “Who else has gone through the effort to attract customers that I want as a customer?  Who has already done the work?  Where do my potential customers hang out?”  — If you want to be a successful marketer you have to figure out the answers to those questions.
  • One of the keys to Eben’s incredible success lies in this strategy that he talked about at length.  Eben stated:  “If you want to be successful as an information product marketer you need to take your best piece of information, or best strategy or best piece of advice, and give it away.  Figure out where your potential customers are hanging out and then give them your best stuff.  And then go to business owners in your market and ask them to give it away to their customers.”

The idea here is to create something so valuable that people want more of what have to offer.  Your job is to then take what you gave away for free and then create a product that “expands” on what you gave away.  This is the core strategy that has laid the foundation for Eben Pagan’s super-successful information products business — and it’s at the core of what Eben teaches in Guru Product Blueprints.

  • Expanding on what Eben said about giving away your best content, Andy Jenkins added this (and I’m paraphrasing):  “I have become successful not because of the products that I sell.  I have become successful because of the stuff that I give away.”
  • Andy closed the interview with his thoughts on why people should join Eben Pagan’s Guru Product Blueprints coaching program:  “Eben is the best at it.  He sells more information products than anyone I know.  Let’s face it, innovation sucks!  You just need to model those who are successful.  And very few are more successful than Eben.”  Andy also discussed the “Free Consultation” bonus he is offering for anyone who buys Guru Product Blueprints through his affiliate link.  You can find the details of Andy’s bonus at the end of the interview linked below.

If you would like to listen to the entire interview, you can find to it here:  Eben Pagan & Andy Jenkins discuss Guru Product Blueprints.

Also, I recently made a post about Guru Product Blueprints  where I went into detail about what is inside Eben Pagan’s latest coaching and training program.  In this post I also discussed the excellent free training that Eben is offering to help promote the launch of Guru Product Blueprints.  If you are interested in Eben’s coaching program and the free training he is offering, I highly recommend you read that post.

One last item.  I am currently in the process of reviewing the three prelaunch training videos that Eben produced for this launch.  I will post my notes from each video to Web Business Research once each review is complete .  Be sure to subscribe in the box above this post and the notes will be emailed to you as soon as they are published to this blog.

By the way, I went through the first two videos today and the free training that Eben is offering is outstanding.  If you have any interest in building your own information products business, you really should watch them.  You can find the videos here:  Guru Product Blueprints Free Training Videos.

All the best,

Jon Poland
